On the inside of the bottlecap i have mounted a self adhesive magnetic square on 3 recycled buttons.

8. Tell me a bit about you... I am a young creative woman, from the south east of England, who loves to experiment with crafting out of recycled items. I enjoy thinking about how i can reuse items and alter them to create unusual but beautiful objects. I live by the motto reduce, reuse, recycle. I refuse to accept any new plastic bags and if i’ve forgotten to take my own cloth bag with me, i’ll simply carry the items out of the shop in my arms! I reuse every thing i can; plastic food trays as drying racks, cereal boxes and medication boxes for ATC backs and bottlecap backgrounds, the bottlecaps, Hard disks as mirrors and anything i can’t reuse gets recycled if possible.

I am a great animal and nature lover and take great pleasure in growing my own vegetables. My favourite website currently is www.swap-bot.com which is another extention of my great enthusiasm for art and craft.

I'm a Scottish artist living and working in a tiny village in Norfolk UK, with four and a half cats and a very understanding husband! I make art of all descriptions, from altered books to oil paintings, from textile art to encaustic (wax) painting. I have had textile work shown in the UK and abroad, most recently in Lyon, France, as part of the annual Magic Patch Expo, where I demonstrated the use of lutradur and gave workshops in French. I am also part of a curated show that is touring the US until next Summer. I have a joint show with another textile artist planned for next year in Norfolk, and hope to return to Expo Magic Patch also. I work in a studio in my garden, 'The Little Green Shed', which is 20ft by 10ft in size, and hope to begin giving small workshops and individual tuition there in Spring next year. I am currently working on a book with Dijanne Cevaal, a well known Australian quilter; we hope it will be published in the New Year. The book is about lutradur, a wonderful, semi-transparent polyester fabric that is great for textile artists. I hope to follow that up with a book on creativity, some time next year.

9. Do you have a website, or blog?I have a blog, http://artmixter.blogspot.com/, and my work can also be seen at http://thedb.com/artmixter

Project Wonderful Update - Advertising on this site.

As you know I have been using Project Wonderful to help bring in money to advertise the community sites; DaWanda Shop Directory Blog (here), DaWanda Shop Directory Links and DaWanda Shopping Community. Today I have been able to start an out-going campaign bidding on boxes to advertise our Ning community at DaWanda Shopping Community and primarily our shops. However, because I am currently spending more on this campaign than making I am having to change the rules for advertisers... where I was once only allowing DaWanda Shops to add their adverts, I am now allowing any bidder to buy a space. This will allow me to be able to afford a much wider advertising campaign on your behalf and help to spread the word about DaWanda. Please note that if you are a DaWanda Seller and you bid using your DaWanda Shop URL your ad will automatically be approved above any other.
