Looking to promote your DaWanda store?

Look no further and join DaWanda Promo Bags today!

There is still time for anyone who wants to be involved in the first batch of promotional bags to send their items to us.

Here are your contacts;

DaWanda On-line promos (bags sold through DaWanda and hopefully this blog too) - SarasTextureCrafts
UK Show promos (given out at UK shows) - MagicPumpkinsandFaeryDust
German Show promos (given out at German shows) - ContasKoeln
French Show promos (given out at French shows) - TriUne

Here's how it works;

  1. Contact the relevant person through DaWanda for their address
  2. Have ready 15/20 Business cards and/or Small promotional samples – no breakables. Each item you send should be clearly labelled with your DaWanda shop.
  3. Once received by the organiser your cards and/or items will be added to the 'Promo' bags.
  4. These will then be distributed to potential buyers.
  5. As an added extra... if you are participating in the on-line bags you will be added to my pinboard at SarasTextureCrafts/DaWanda-Promo-Bags-here-are-the-sellers
Here are some examples of the German Show, DaWanda promo bags that have already been distributed by ContasKoeln

Texture Inspiration at Sara's Texture Crafts!

Sara's Texture Craft Packs are designed to give you materials of inspiration for small projects, or for use in larger pieces of textile art.

Each kit contains:
 1 x 30cm square (approximately) of fabric
 3 x 15cm square (approximately) of fabric
 1m (approximately) of fancy thread
 20 x beads (approximately)

Please note that each texture pack will vary, as some fabrics are hand dyed and others are cuttings from larger lengths or vintage scarves. Colours may also differ slightly to those pictured; this is an unavoidable difference resulting from digital photography. If you have any questions on colour please ask.

Suggestions for use in projects/crafts:
1. Machine embroidery
2. Embroidery
3. Card making
4. 3D relief work
5. Doll making
6. Appliqu├ęs on weaves
7. ACO's, or ACEO kits
8. Jewellery and accessory making.

Thanks for looking...

DIY City Magazine!

Hi Guys,

Just dropping in to tell you about a great new community and DIY magazine... DIY City Magazine http://diycitymag.com

This is a great new magazine that shows you what's happening in the DIY world city by lovely city. DIYthing duo Deb and Wendy (http://www.diything.com) started this week with their first issue all about New York... Covering topics such as indie designers, supply shops and DIY projects this really is a great magazine for us to pour over monthly! Oh and if you come across page 142 they added a little bit about me (Aw - thanks guys! Blushes!!)

There is also another great thing about the DIYthing team, they want to help build a global DIY community, city by city and share resource information and feature indie artists! They have built a community site over on ning at http://diycityguides.ning.com come and join us! Let's get the DaWanda word out too!
